My Stories Matter is a social engagement platform to help people connect through sharing memories and experiences. With a goal to help users reminisce, this project aimed to rebrand the existing app screenshots to show a better representation of the application itself and convey the joy around storytelling through illustration.
Stemming from the existing app screenshots, this project required research on what makes previews most effective. Some takeaways included explaining the most popular use case in the first two screenshots, utilizing type hierarchy, and more imagery to convey the app’s features. I went into sketches with these in mind, but also broke down each existing screenshot with plus’s for what needs to be added and minuses for what is not one-hundred percent necessary.
